“Drink some tea and try again.” It is said that Master Zhaozhou used to say this to every monk. It didn’t matter whether they were a seasoned master or a novice monk. These were words of encouragement and admonition, urging them to drink tea and redouble their efforts so they could continue their practice with unwavering dedication throughout the day.
