Japanese candles ( Warousoku ) are a traditional Kyoto craft that have long illuminated places of worship and daily life. Today, there are only a few artisans left who continue to produce them. The Japanese candles in this collection are each carefully handcrafted by these rare artisans with uncompromising craftsmanship.

The biggest feature of our products is that they are all made from plant-based ingredients. We offer rare and exquisite candles made from 100% wood wax extracted from the nuts of the wax tree, as well as candles made from 100% plant wax, a unique blend of palm wax and rice wax (rice bran wax).

Because it is plant-based, it produces very little soot and does not stain the walls or interior of your room, making it a welcome addition to modern life.
