About orders and delivery
Once your order is confirmed, it will usually be shipped within 7 to 14 business days. However, depending on the characteristics of the product, the craftsman's production status, and the delivery address, it may take longer than 14 business days. Please note in advance.
Once your order has been confirmed, we cannot accept any changes to the items, size, color, quantity, or design. Please carefully check the contents in your cart before placing your order.
Yes, we do. Shipping fees to overseas destinations vary depending on the destination, so please check the checkout (payment) screen.
Please note that international orders may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are the buyer's responsibility and are incurred once the shipment reaches the destination country.
Custom-made consultations/corporate customers
First, please contact us using the inquiry form . For example, we may be able to accommodate semi-customization based on existing products, such as changing the color of the cloth used to make hanging scrolls or frames to match the atmosphere of your room. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate your request depending on the content of your inquiry and the working hours of our craftsmen and priests.

We may be able to handle completely custom-made production, such as an ink painting of a specific subject by Yokoe Ittoku of Yotokuin Temple, calligraphy of specific characters by calligrapher Ranshu, or original patterns on Japanese candles. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate your request depending on the content of your inquiry and the working hours of our craftsmen and monks.
We are willing to be as flexible as possible when it comes to spatial design and fixture installation in hotels, inns, restaurants, retail stores, and even large orders. Please feel free to contact us using the inquiry form to discuss your desired delivery date, quantity, and image. Shipping and payment information
For deliveries within Japan, shipping fees vary by product; please confirm the charges at checkout. Orders over ¥30,000 (tax included) qualify for free shipping.
For international deliveries, shipping fees vary by country/region; please confirm the charges at checkout.
We accept various credit cards (AMEX / JCB / VISA / MASTER), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay.
Product characteristics (important)
Our products are handmade by artisans and monks, so individual differences are inevitable. Also, the color and brightness may differ from the actual product depending on the device you are viewing it on. These are proof of the handmade nature of the product and are not eligible for returns or exchanges as they are within our inspection standards. Please enjoy them as unique pieces.
Returns, exchanges and cancellations
As a general rule, we do not accept cancellations after an order has been confirmed or returns or exchanges after delivery due to customer convenience.
In the unlikely event that a product is defective (damaged, dirty, or improperly processed) or is the wrong item, we will exchange it as long as it is unused. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please contact us by email (shop@zensei-artisan.com) with your order number within 7 days of receiving the product . Please note that we cannot accept exchanges after 7 days.
Please note that if an item is returned due to refusal to accept delivery or expiration of the storage period without a valid reason, we will charge various fees, including the actual cost of the item, round-trip shipping fees, and return handling fee (2,200 yen including tax), regardless of the reason.
